Ipswich BMX Club held the fifth and final round of its 2021/22 Winter Series today at its Landseer Park track.
The weather was appropriately winter like with persistent rain and cold temperatures. This didn’t put IBMXC members off however as 47 riders braved the conditions and took to the track.
The new track was fantastic, despite all the rain it rode hard, fast and was predominately dry. This season has been the first time in many years that the club has been able to hold races or any activities at Landseer Park over the winter months due to the poor condition of our old track.

The good thing is that we all get to do it all again tomorrow as Ipswich plays host to round 1 of the BMX East Summer Series! Registered riders must be signed in by 11am with racing starting around noon. Spectators welcome, there will be the usual hot and cold food available along with our much anticipated raffle!
