Despite the biblical rain that came down just as registration opened, IBMXC hosted another highly successful round of its 2022 Go Ride Summer Series.
The rain had little effect on the track apart from making the turns a little slippery and riders were even treated to a stunning double rainbow during practice.
Injuries and weather kept entries slightly lower this week but the reduced numbers had little effect on the quality of racing. Results and series points can be found as usual here: Our Sqorz
A massive thank you as always to all the clubs volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to host these meetings without you! Remember if you would like to help on the evening (whether it be finish line, marshalling or any other role) please let yourself be known in the clubhouse at the beginning of the evening where you’ll be greeted with a wide smile!
The Rad Rider awards were presented again for each class. Congratulations to Clayton-Formula 4, Malakai-Formula 3, Jack-Formula 2 and Aaron Souster-Formula 1 for going over and above with their racing on the night.
Good luck to all the Ipswich riders who are travelling to Royston this Sunday for round 5 of the BMX East regional series. Round 4 of our Summer Series leaves the start gate of our Landseer Park track on Tuesday 14th June. Registration closes at 6.30pm, £3 IBMXC members/£5 for members of other British Cycling affiliated clubs.
