Phew that’s a wrap! A massive thank you from everyone involved at Ipswich BMX Club to our amazing BMX family as we played host to the ninth and final round of the BMX East Regional Summer Series. The weather was hot as was the race action which saw riders secure qualification for the British Championships in Bournemouth later this month.
Everyone played their part in making it a great event including the riders, their families, BC commissionaire’s and the hardworking IBMXC volunteers. Additional thanks goes to MJS Services for kindly sponsoring the event and providing special prizes for selected classes.
Despite the recent hot weather our dusty Landseer Park track was in tip-top condition and made for some exciting racing throughout all the classes. IBMXC achieved a second place finish as a club in the series overall, a result its members can be rightly proud of.
Next up for IBMXC members is the penultimate round of our own Go Ride Summer Series this Tuesday 9th August at our Landseer Park track. Registration on the day closes at 6.30pm. IBMXC members £3/non-members from other BC clubs welcome £5. Transponders not required.
