Breaking ground

Today was a historic day for Ipswich BMX Club. Construction work began on our new national standard track and clubhouse.

The occasion was marked with a small gathering of interested stakeholders including British Cycling, Community Action Suffolk, and Ipswich Borough Council, amongst others. Without the assistance of these organisations, along with the hard work of the IBMXC committee this project would still be just a pipe dream. Local media were also in attendance, including Radio Suffolk who broadcast live from the site for the James Hazell show.

Clark & Kent Construction began work on moving in heavy plant and fencing onto the site as well as installing a time lapse camera to capture every phase of the build.
