The UCI BMX World Championships are taking place in Glasgow, Scotland next week (racing commences on Sunday 6th August). It’s the first World Championships to be held in the UK since Birmingham hosted the race in 2012.
Ipswich BMX Club is pleased to announce that nine of our riders who qualified will be swapping their trade team/IBMXC jerseys for GB ones in order to compete in their respective classes.
Good luck to Abi Pike, Lee Matthews, Carmel & Lewis Allison, Mark & Harley Steele, Kevin Sykes, John Lillingstone and Samuel Hambling. All of which will be on the hunt for a coveted W number plate which signifies that they have made a World Championship final.
There's more BMX racing to be found closer to home as we hold round 8 of our Summer Series this Tuesday at our Landseer Park track. Registration closes at 6.30pm on the evening. IBMXC members - £3/Non-members from other BC affiliated clubs welcome - £5.
