Ipswich Spring Classic, end of an era

Yesterday (22.05.21) IBMXC held its very last race meeting on their current Landseer Park track.

The track has been on the park since 1980 and was altered to a U inside a U design in 1989.

Club riders celebrated the day with some fantastic racing, in what was for many their first race since Covid-19 became a thing.

It was especially pleasing to see so many faces new and old, helping to give the current track a great final send off. Included amongst that number were the town's MP, Tom Hunt and a number of local councilors whom the Club is extremely grateful for their continued help and support.

Thanks also to original club stalwart, Bryan Potter for presenting the days awards to the riders.

The Club expects construction to begin on our new modern facility in June.
