The Mayor of Ipswich recently invited the Trustees of Ipswich BMX Club to join him for tea and refreshments at the Mayor’s Parlour in the Town Hall in recognition of IBMXC being the longest running BMX club in the UK.
On the 7th February a number of club Trustees were able to accept the offer, meeting Mayor Councillor John Cook. They used the occasion to inform him about the clubs history and where they would like it to be in the future.
The trustees were also able to brush up on the history of Ipswich and get their hands on one or two shiny things before reluctantly returning said items to their rightful place under lock and key!
